Kent Nelson was a kind academic and one of the founding members of the Justice Society; with his magical abilities and the Helmet of Fate, he used to transform into the powerful mystical sorcerer known as Doctor Fate. After the team disbanded, Kent went into exile in the Tower of Fate to try to find inner peace.
