The movie “Bullet Train” follows the story of Ladybug, an assassin who has had a string of failed missions and just wants to complete his latest job without any trouble. However, fate seems to have other plans for him as his current mission puts him on the same train as deadly adversaries from around the world, all with different objectives, on the fastest train in the world, the Shinkansen. The Shinkansen is a type of high-speed passenger train that operates in Japan and is capable of reaching a maximum speed of 320kmph. The plot revolves around Yuichi Kimura, also known as “The Father” (connected to the Yakuza Mafia), boards the same bullet train in Tokyo to find the person who attacked his son Wataru. (Spoiler alert! Wataru was pushed off a building by The Prince)

Ladybug, under the guidance of his handler Maria Beetle, is tasked with retrieving a briefcase full of cash from the same train, taking over the job of his sick colleague, Carver. Bullet Train is a satirical movie that pokes fun at destiny, loyalty with a dash of humor. In the end, Ladybug survives the bullet train crash along with Yuichi, his father, and Lemon, who runs over the Prince. The White Death, who had attempted to shoot Ladybug, is killed when his daughter plants an explosive inside his gun, blowing off most of his head. So all’s well and end’s well, right?
The action movie grossed $103.4 million in the US alone, making it a mega box office hit. In the movie, Aaron Taylor-Johnson plays Tangerine, a British assassin, and Brian Tyree Henry plays his twin brother – Lemon. Lemon is the only villainous character who survives and redeems himself in the end.
